Ayaan, once again, hits the nails on the head
After what happened in Turkey wherein mass-demonstrations by secular Turks and with the army 'ready to step in' to prevent Turkey to be de-secularised, European governments must at least be scratching their dumbfounded heads as for years on end, and under pressure of USA's strategic interests , they have tried to convince Europeans of the desirability of Turkey in the EU with the excuse 'to help Turkey democratise' for none of them ever admitted to the real reasons. All that time Erdogan was smiling at the front door at the EU but drinking tea with the Islam Arabs in his back garden, while the lot of his orthodox muslims in Parliament were overtly or not trying to islamise Turkey bút for the military who they knew would stop them - and which is the very military power the islamists want to see removed with the hélp of the EU so that they are no longer hampered in their efforts de-secularise Turkey. The EU made the next and yet another very embarrassing faux-pas by warning the Turkish military: 'not to intervene in the democratic process' while that is only possible becáuse of the military. While a Western alliance, named 'the coalition of the willing' has allreay burned her fingers to bits in Islamic Iraq, the stupid EU insists on Europe burning her whole body with Islam Turkey in the EU. Let's hope that the only politician with common sense in his head, Sarkozy, will make sure that Turkey stays out of the EU.
