Quote:
Like it or not 'Bombay One' and the rest of indifferent India, the American neo-cons, and the Chinese who don't subscribe even to the wan and emasculated Kyoto Protocol must breathe the same air as the Other Bombay. We can continue to blame the developed world, especially America, for its rapacity in consuming the earth's resources, but it's a little late for finger-pointing.
Wait, wait: is Nagarkar blaming America and "neo-cons" for the pollution and filth of Bombay?! Have we all collectively lost it?

And someone please educate me: was not smog supposed to cause COOLING, as in nuclear winter..??! I quote: "Large quantities of aerosol particles dispersed into the atmosphere would significantly reduce the amount of sunlight that reached the surface, and could potentially remain in the stratosphere for months or even years. The dust clouds would then block out much of the sun's light, causing surface temperatures to drop drastically."

Until the "scientists" decide whether smog cause warming or cooling, I will remain contemptuous of all the alarmism and global-warming agitprop.
